John Eaton

John has over 40 years commercial experience as a Chartered Accountant having worked for a variety of firms including Price Waterhouse and a forerunner of Deloitte. During the late 80s John was a partner in MacIntyre Hudson.

After which John established his own accountancy practice, John Eaton & Co, in 1993 before merging it with Meager Wood Locke & Co in 2007. He is retained as a consultant by Locke Williams Associates LLP, specialising in assisting with strategic finance, business coaching and M&A activity.

John has considerable experience of working in public and voluntary sector related finance. For ten years he was Treasurer of Open Door, a Youth Counselling Service and Birmingham Voluntary Service Council, an umbrella organisation for voluntary organisations in the West Midlands

He was previously both Managing Director and Finance Director of Industrial Design Consultancy Limited for a 15 year period from 1996. He is currently Chairman of Feckenham Community Shop Association managing a team of 85 volunteers who keep the shop open 60 hours a week. He is Treasurer of St Peters Urban Village Trust in Saltley, Treasurer of our Parish PCC and a Governor of Winterfold House School.

He is proprietor of Eaton Consulting (a Chartered Accountancy practice) which manages the affairs of a number of clients.

John enjoys travelling, sailing and watching cricket.
